HFFS Flow Wrap Machine for High-Speed Pillow Packaging
HYS HFFS flow wrap machines automatically form, seal and cut pillow packs for regularly shaped solid products. The HFS-260, HFS-350 and HFS-450 series supports finished bag widths from 25 to 200 mm and rated packaging speeds from 20 to 250 packs per minute. Actual output depends on product dimensions, infeed spacing, film properties and sealing requirements.
HFFS vs. VFFS Packaging Machines
HFFS and VFFS both form packages from roll film, but their product flow and best-use cases are different. Choose HFFS for individual solid products that travel on a horizontal infeed conveyor. Choose a VFFS packaging machine when loose material is dosed vertically by a weigher, auger filler or pump.

How to Choose the Right HFFS Flow Wrapper
Start with the finished bag width and product height, then confirm film width, bag length, target speed and infeed method. HYS uses your samples and pack dimensions to verify the final configuration.
HFS-260
For compact products and finished bag widths of 25–110 mm. Maximum film width: 260 mm.
HFS-350
For general-purpose products and finished bag widths of 25–150 mm. Maximum film width: 350 mm.
HFS-450
For wider or taller products and finished bag widths of 50–200 mm. Maximum film width: 450 mm.
Speed note: all three standard models are rated at 20–250 packs/min, but the achievable production rate must be confirmed with the actual product, film and sealing requirements.

Horizontal Flow Wrap (HFFS) systems utilize two distinct film feeding architectures. Choosing between top-mounted (upward draw) and bottom-mounted (downward draw/inverted) film paths dictates compatibility with product weight, shape consistency, and surface properties.
Upward Film Feeding (Top-Mounted)
Best for Heavier & Regular Products
- Definition: The packaging film roll is positioned above the horizontal reference plane of the infeed conveyor.
- Material Handling: Highly applicable to products with regular shapes, suitable for both soft and hard solid materials.
- Singulation: Best suited for single-item packs (one piece per bag).
- Consistency: The product must not be sticky, but can contain liquid components safely.
- Ideal for: Fruits, electronic cable trays, hardware parts, kitchenware, daily utilities.
Downward Film Feeding (Bottom-Mounted)
Best for Lighter & Irregular Products
- Definition: The packaging film roll is positioned below the horizontal reference plane of the infeed conveyor (Inverted wrapping).
- Material Handling: Ideal for irregularly shaped products. Soft, loose products are generally not applicable for direct top-feeding.
- Multi-packs: Easily packages multiple items together in one bag (multipack group packing).
- Consistency: The product can be sticky and have a liquid/sauce consistency.
